The Hardy Plant Society Kent Group Plant Sales are held in large gardens open to the public, sometimes in association with an opening under The National Gardens Scheme "Yellow Book." Sales are attended by up to 20 selected, specialist nurseries and private growers offering a wide range of desirable and unusual herbaceous perennials, bulbs, alpines and shrubs. Some of the private growers sell only through the Plant Sales and provide an opportunity to buy plants which may not be available elsewhere. Ample free parking and refreshments are usually available. A charge is made for admission to the gardens which includes admission to the sales. A full programme of Plant Sales has been arranged for 2004 with a sale each month from April to September including the two day Garden Show and Plant Sale in September.
