     Mabel Curtis was born on 10 October 1891 at Margaretting, Essex.3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Edward Curtis and Elizabeth Ann Thurley.2 She married her first cousin, Alexander John Thurley, son of Robert Thurley and Charlotte Elizabeth Little, by certificate on 3 February 1915 at the Register Office, Woolwich, London.7,1 She ended her days in a residential home and died in July 1982 at Folkestone, Kent, aged 90.8 Her remains were cremated and her ashes scattered by her family at Hawkinge, Kent.8
