Sailor.1 John Harold Smith Wright was born on 18 August 1882 at Parkhill, Lyndhurst, Hampshire.2,3 He was the son of Henry Smith Wright and Josephine Henrietta Wright. He married Kathleen Mabel Stuart Grattan, daughter of Col Ernest Grattan, on 11 February 1914 at St Peter's Church, Cranley Gardens,, South Kensington, London.4,5 He died on 19 March 1930 aged 47.1 His funeral took place at 3 pm on 21 March 1930 at the parish church, Wendover, Buckinghamshire.1

It is thought that she was born in 1849; a birth in her name was registered during the second quarter within Bridge RD, Kent.1 Josephine Henrietta Wright was the daughter of Rev John Adolphus Wright and Josephine Anne Law. She married her first cousin, Henry Smith Wright, son of Ichabod Charles Wright and Hon Theodosia Denman,, in 1869; their marriage was registered during the first quarter in Dover RD, Kent.2 She died on 9 February 1938 aged 88.3
