21C Magazine - the U.S. glossy magazine is back, this time online. Nice index page: the eagle has landed.
A Celebration of Beautiful Trees - can be found here. Helping to protect our natural heritage from selfish land developers and other vandals.
Erik Davis - The author of Techgnosis has his site here. The index page is delightful. It's worth visiting just to pass your mouse over his wheels, within wheels, within...ohhhha.
Bryan Appleyard - root out his article on the rise of web-pop. There's lots of stuff on web-pop out there to read - Bryan has a good basic guide here.
Rebel Decade - the best and most powerful chess out there on the web. Plus it's free. Run it on Fridays if you want it at full capacity (although like most powerful programs it will wipe the floor with you in the end-game).
Nice bit - watching the computer 'think' as it rattles off its possible moves.Survivors - the darkside of the hippie commune movement: earliest rumblings of Crass, stencil art, rural anarcho-punk. The TV series came out between 1975 to 1977. Mind those dodgy tank-tops...
Ravers - a funny photographic guide to ravers and their antics.
Dreamflesh - Gyrus has been busy again and now has this new magazine up for sale. Best bit - pagans wrapping each other up as mummies to meditate on death & rebirth. Well, whatever lights your candle.
The Wasp Factory - a selection of thumping recordings can be found here. Thanks to Mark for instigating a couple of funny debates on the hare hypothesis.
