2001 - 2003 -
The Hannah Mandala - a cartoon mandala along with a recap of what the Hare hypothesis is about. Followed by some questions I've had in the past.

From Kells to Hogwarts - does the inspiration for the crest of Hogwarts go back to J.K. Rowling's Christian childhood and the Book of Kells? There's an uncanny parrallel going here which might amuse some fans of Harry Potter. (The elf on this page now takes you back to the index page.)

2004 -
Flappers - pre-date the 1920s, as described here in my Grandmother's novelette, Let's Make a Day of it.

2006 -
Posture - the Bunny Mandala as a playful guide to each youth trend's archetypal stance.

Columbines into Doves - in which we return to the Columbine tragedy and The Matrix. I argue here against Jason and Grant's idea that either of these are connected to a failed, hostile strength youth trend.

2007 -
Doves into Harlequins - in which we return to the underground band Ring and an obscure symbol from the mid 1980s.

Everything below has nothing to do with youth culture. But I've had some feedback over time on the articles below, so I thought I'd archive them here.

The Oldest Serpent in Europe? - a 1997 article on the Argyll serpent mound is revised here.

Polar Petroglyphs - a 1998 article on an ancient Mull stellar cult is revised here. More of my daft ramblings on symbolism...

The Dodgy Duck - in which Uri Geller gets caught up in a strange net of synchronicity - either that or someone's taking the Mickey...

The Lightning Tree - Did Charlotte Brontė encrypt a tree dryad into her novel, Villette?
