Hare Hypothesis - regular browsers may have noticed a change from the old 'Sekhmet hypothesis' to the new 'Hare hypothesis'. This was inspired by a strange find I made of a stone hare artefact at an ancient site in 1997.
So I've sampled it for a revamped totem for the hypothesis. A shadow of the original deity can still be found in Lesley's gallery for Sekhmet die-hards.2000 -
Old Address Defunct - running a search to see if this site had gone up or not I was amused - and a little surprised - to find a couple of references to the first edition of the Sekhmet hypothesis book (a self-published art-lit experiment), from 1995. With regards to Praxis records, I can't find their E-mail on the page, but the address given for the book & booklet is out of date. The PO box closed down in 1997.
(I've since had two complaints off people chasing stuff at this non-existent address: I've traced the record company and asked them to remove the address and they haven't. There's nothing I can do about such people on the web. Take your complaints to Praxis in future.)
Also, don't waste your money on any 2nd hand copies. Some were going round the web at twice the price they went for in the Nineties, which is a rip-off. 3 times the price now at Fantastic Literature in Essex. This goes against the sharing attitude of the original vibe in 1995 - arhh, 6 times the price now for a 2nd hand pamphlet edition at Human Horizons, can it get any worse? I'm very annoyed about this. It's enough to drive you to put out underground books with self-destruct paper - a bit like these biodegradable carrier bags.
Well at least Human Horizons can't give their Johnny come latelys a hand-crafted brooch like the original weirdos got with their copy in the Nineties. I bet they don't get any free boiled sweets either.So stick with the version archived here - it's more up to date and less wooly headed.
