General Information:

The computer literacy needs of nursing students are not always met by university-wide programmes offered to students of all disciplines. Nurses often come into Higher Education with widely varying IT skills, start programmes at different times to other undergraduates, or are only on campus for short periods.

CLaSS Software has been designed to meet the specific needs of students on both pre-and post-registration nursing programmes. The five tutorials are geared towards the particular needs of this group of students in terms of both the skills being developed and the nursing examples used throughout.

CLaSS Software is currently being used by the several Universities within the UK as the main vehicle for the teaching of IT skills to nursing students, through both supervised self-directed learning and individual study.

Compared to other computer-literacy software available, CLaSS has the advantage of being produced specifically for the needs of nursing students and is competitively priced as £199.00 p.a. This annual fee gives a one-year licence for one institution with an unlimited number of users.

Your institution will also be able to use free of charge the CLaSS Software Resources available on the site. Resources such as:
