In divison 1 Polish
are now the only team witha a 100% record following their
narrow victory at Bradford Internationals after being
impeded by only 5 players being available. Simon
Watson was International's only victor over the board
with a win against mark Crowther. S. Bradford A
managed to win against pointless Shipley A. Younis
Qureshi being replaced in the Shipley team by new boy
John Brooke. Underclffe Kights being at the wrong
end of a 4 - 2 scoreline against Undercliffe B.
Dave Patrick being the only winner with white
pieces. It shows just how close this division is
with previous basement team Undercliffe A gaining a draw
at title holderes and contenders Bradford 153.

Early days, but in
Division 1 Bradford 153 and Polish are setting the
pace. There are 3 teams tied for third place, with
Internationals just a half board behind. Shipley A
and Undercliffe A look to have their work cut out.
Sept 19
Bradford 153 and
Polish have set off at the same rate that they did last
year. Can Polish turn the tables with their new
number 1 ?
