Welcome to Project Linus UK, the British Branch of the Project Linus voluntary organisation.
OUR MISSION : PROJECT LINUS is a 100% volunteer non-profit organisation. It is our aim to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and a comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatised, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW, HOMEMADE, WASHABLE blankets and quilts, lovingly created by volunteer blanket makers.
HISTORY : Project Linus originated in America, December 1995. Since that time over 400,000 blankets have been delivered worldwide. (www.projectlinus.org)
Project Linus started in the UK. March 2000 as a result of a quilters desire to help children in need.
HOW TO HELP : Make a blanket or quilt and donate it to your local co-ordinator, if there isn't one in your area please contact us for information on how to become a co-ordinator. To help Project Linus UK email us or contact your local co-ordinator direct.
