Organised your early summer holiday yet?
Come and join us for a week in May (non half-term prices). I know from
conversations that there are a lot of you thinking about it, we have six adults
and four children already booked, we need four more adults and we can then all
benefit from the discount. Get someone else to rig your boat for a full week
and have a go in a sailing cruiser in non-tidal waters. We have chosen Javelin in Turkey because we
enjoyed Sunsail very much last year in Greece and decided to try their newest
resort Javelin, staff are mostly English and the standard of food is excellent,
multi-choice breakfast, tasty lunches, high tea and evening meal with
entertainment on four evenings. The flight is from Gatwick and the outward
journey allows you to be sailing by mid afternoon same day. Flight back arrives at Gatwick 15.35.
Here is a taster about Javelin from the Sunsail
brochure.
Our exciting Javelin Club is located on the Bodrum peninsula on Turkey’s beautiful Aegean coast. The Club has attractive gardens and a shallow shelving sandy beach, which sits on the edge of a wide open bay, perfect for sailing and watersports activities.
Javelin Club enjoys a quiet
peaceful location approximately 30 minutes from Bodrum. The Club, built in a
Moorish style, is set around an attractive pool and pretty, well maintained
gardens. At the water’s edge the large sandy, shelving beach has plenty of
sunbathing space and there is a beach bar on the jetty for an ice cold drink
when you come in off the water. There are quiet shaded seating areas in the
gardens and camel rides are often available on the beach – hence its name,
Camel Beach! The large sailing area
enjoys flat water with constant good winds, blowing cross-off shore. The sandy
beach allows easy sailing to and from the shore, making this an ideal sailing
location. Our two water-ski boats are fully equipped to suit skiers from
beginner to advanced, making the very best of the flat water conditions.
For those interested in scuba diving, courses and dives are offered through
our association with a local dive centre.
