There are many good places to out near me if you feel like treating yourselves. You're not too far away from food of any type - there's Italian, American, Mexican, French, Cajun, Chinese, Greek, steaks, seafood, barbecue, pizzas,fast food, all you can eat buffets etc.

For those poor souls among you who can't live without your quota of McDonalds, there's even one of those within walking distance - mind you you have to cross the US27 road so it may be quicker to take the car! Also within walking distance (and without having to cross the main road) there's a Taco Bell and a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

For those of you fancy something a little bit more 'up market' there are several places that come highly recommended by my owners.

• The Outback Steakhouse - an Aussie restaurant (and bar) that serves great steaks and prime rib (as well as chicken and big burgers).
• Applebees - an American restaurant (and bar) where the food is great and the cost is a surprise. They serve big beers here (a Brutus) which is just over a pint.
• Chili's - A Mexican/American restaurant (and bar) where the food is not too spicy or hot, just nice and tasty.
• Red Lobster - a seafood restaurant that serves great Alaskan snow crabs legs.
• Kobe - a Japanese restaurant where the atmosphere around the teppanyaki table is great. It's fun to watch your chef 'perform'.
• Denny - great place to fill up with breakfasts (moons over my hammy highly recommended) before you go out on a day trip. Lunches here are a good deal too though 'main meals' are a bit mediocre.
• JT'S - home of the all you can eat prime rib (mmm!) and great steaks. This also has a bar and a game of solitaire on the table to amuse you while waiting for your meal.
• Perkins - another place that's great for breakfasts (try the eggs benedict) and lunches. Try the salad that comes in it's own edible bowl!
