Amy's cottage

Amy's Cottage is the ideal base for your Yorkshire holiday, it is based at
Binnington Wold on the Yorkshire Wolds and provides an excellent site
from which to explore the surrounding area. We opened the cottage in 1997
and it has proved very popular receiving many repeat bookings. Places of
interest include the Yorkshire coast , the dales and the moors all within easy
reach.

Situated on the northern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds with Breath-taking
views over the Vale of Pickering and Beyond. We are easy to find two miles
from Staxton on the B1249

Accommodation

We aim to provide every thing you would expect from a self catering farm
holiday cottage, the large farmhouse kitchen / diner consists of matching
pine dining furniture, and comes fully equipped with electric oven and hob,
auto washing machine, fridge and microwave.

The lounge features pine beams and panelling and a brick built fireplace,
hand crafted wrought ironwork, fitted carpet, T.V. and Video.

One double bedroom and one single bedroom both with fitted carpets and
views over the Yorkshire countryside, all bed linen and towels are provided.

Tiled bathroom comprising toilet, basin and bath.

All fuel and power is provided including gas central heating and hot water
and all rooms are double glazed for your comfort.

The Heath family has farmed at Binnington Wold for nearly sixty years.
Amy's Cottage is set in the middle of a 219 acre arable and livestock farm
on the Wolds Way Walk. The animals include a herd of suckler cows and
calves, including Charolais and limousin; usually a shed of pigs; chickens,
muschovy ducks and various geese scratch in the yard. Because of the farm
animals we are unable to allow pets.
