BATH - UNITED KINGDOM

Paint your heart out on the edge of Monteciano, an unspoilt walled village amongst beautiful wooded farmland, fifteen miles south of Sienna.

We will paint in all mediums, and sketch the local vistas. We will stay at Locando de Vestro which is a converted farm transformed into a very friendly inn serving marvelous local food. The hotel also has a swimming pool which is a wonderful chance to practice wet-in-wet during the heat of the day!

There is also plenty of scope for anyone coming to simply have a holiday. Sienna is on the local bus route with its multitude of historical attributes, museums, galleries, and shops.

The week will be a gentle mix of stimulating work and relaxation. Each day an aspect of the scenery will be studied and a demonstration of how to tackle the subject will accompany the teaching. There will be an opportunity to enjoy one-to-one tuition and the week will culminate in a party and mini exhibition of your favourite work. We will visit Sienna for a day to see the galleries and enjoy the colourful market.

Susanna Bailey is an experienced artist, who has taught both internationally, and nationally. Her work is contained in many private and public collections. Since leaving the Slade as a postgraduate her work has
developed through painting in watercolour, mixed media and oil. She is also a Printmaker specialising in Etching and Chime Colle.
