JANET RANDELL, AISTD, BA HONS, international choreographer, teacher, lecturer, author, researcher, musician and founder / Artistic Director of The Cedar Dance Theatre. Most recently she has been exploring her choreography through digital / animated dance and is producing independent dance animations which integrate dance as performance art with her own choreographic style explored through 3D animation and motion technology. Her experiments with animation are providing a new and innovative platform for her artistic expression. She is working with Frederick Fowles, a leading animator and compositor for special effects in the film industry.

Janet Randell is also using animation to develop her activities in community, educational and disabled dance. She is seeking to transcend the range of stage performance, extend the boundaries of dance, and explore a whole new art form where weight and technique are balanced against fantasy and the numinous.
