About JTS

Janus Training Services is the trading style of David Warren who established the business in August 1994.

After many years in senior training management positions including six years as Training Manager with B&Q, and four years as Staff Development Manager with the Outlets Division of Unipart Group of Companies, he decided to escape the 'corporate glue' and set up as a freelance trainer.

Since then he has undertaken   many interesting and varied assignments, working with companies from all sectors of trade and industry.  As well as his own client list, he also contracts with other training providers including North East Chamber of Trade and Industry, RH Associates and 'Q' Training and Consultancy.

One of the earliest assignments undertaken by JTS was the design and delivery of 160 seminars throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland for the National Federation of Retail Newsagents.  The success of this large project involving in excess of 3,000 delegates was due entirely to the ability to assemble a team of high quality trainers, and to work closely with Roger Worth Training who were partners in the project.

Since that time, David  has worked on a variety of projects with the NFRN.  These include succesfully bidding for DfEE funding under the Skills Challenge Initiative and delivering training via text based open learning materials to a pilot group of independent CTN retailers.  He has also delivered IT training in Excel and Word to all administration staff throughout the organisation, and is currently working with the client on their IiP project.

He regards himself as a generalist trainer who is confident in delivering a wide range of training subjects
