Walking Holidays
Located in the Staffordshire Moorlands, on the edge of the Derbyshire
Peak District, Jays Barn is ideally located for a walking holiday.
Head into the Peak District for the dramatic peaks and limestone
valleys of the Dark Peak or explore the rolling hills and dales
of the White Peak and the Staffordshire Moorlands.
We are only a short drive from Dove Dale, one of the most beautiful
walks in the peak district with its crags, caves and stepping
stones.
The Moorlands is very well served with over 650 miles of footpaths.
For short circular walks try Rudyard Lake, the Churnet Valley
or the country parks at Ladderedge and Biddulph Grange. For more
challenging and long distance walks try The Roaches, the Staffordshire
Way, the Gritstone Trail or the Limestone Way.
