Groink - Cooking Bacon


There are many ways to cook bacon, here are a few ideas.


Shallow fried bacon


Put a little cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat, you can also fry bacon in a lump of butter if your tastebuds prefer. Use tongs or something else suitable to turn the bacon frequently, vary the heat as you cook the bacon to avoid burning.
Remove the bacon from the pan when brown and crispy on both sides.

 


In the Microwave


The best way to do this is by placing a paper towel or two on a microwavable plate and laying the bacon on top. Cook on full power for just a couple of minutes, turning the bacon half way through. The paper towels will ensure the food is not too greasy.

 


In the Oven and Grill


You can place bacon onto a foil covered oven tray and cook in the oven, turning occasionally until crispy and brown (at around 200 degrees celcius).
To grill bacon, use a foil covered grilling tray and heat on half-full power turning occasionally.
