This screen is what you see when starting up STRAND and the layout follows the process of running and accounting for an Auction.

Clicking with the mouse on the buttons reveals new screens or menus and gives tremendous flexibility in use. In computer jargon these different screens are known as forms and each different form allows the user to input the data for each stage of the auction.

STRAND Overview Form

The larger boxes on the overview form are numbered 1 to 9 and represent the various phases of the auction. The small numbers are pushbuttons and open other forms or menus.

For example clicking on "New/Delete/Change Auction, Options etc." in Box 1 would show the form that allows the basic data of the auction (e.g. commission charges, bid steps etc.) to be changed. Box 1 also gives access to the Customer form while Box 2 deals with entry of the lots.

In Box 6 or Box 7 clicking the button "Results and Reports" shows a menu of reports detailing the results of the auction. These include reports for the sales of individual vendors and purchases of individual bidders together with summary reports for both. Other reports available at this stage include prices realised and lists of unsold lots. Menu for after auction reports
