Douglas hill climb 2000 I have won the British hill climbing National Championship five times.
I am one of the organisers of the Circuit of the Cotswolds challenge ride. The ride is 100 miles on tough Cotswold roads that I remember from the Tour of the Cotswolds road race (no longer running) and from training rides when I was at university. It commemorates the life of my good friend, Dave Ryan, who was killed by a speeding motorist while on a training ride in 2004. The first edition of the race had over 250 people taking part and raised more than three thousand pounds for charity. The 2006 edition will be bigger and better and takes place on June 18th. Pictures of some of the bikes that I race on.
I race for Southport Cycling Club at the moment but have ridden for a few other different Teams since I started racing in 1994.
My lunchtime job: details of a finite element analysis of a racing bike frame.
