We use the industry standard Patran/Nastran finite
element package, making detailed models of components that have been designed in
CAD. We are responsible for checking that new designs are strong enough for the
loads they will see in service and if they aren't, for working out why not and
suggesting practical and cost-effective alternatives.

Most of the time we only consider components
behaving elastically so we usually perform static stress and modal analyses.
Where the job requires it, more advanced techniques are used, including frequency
response, nonlinear, thermal and acoustic analyses. Models ranged from small
brackets to representations of the full vehicle. Click on the images for bigger
