Dundee are lining up a £100,000 move for Chesterfield striker David Reeves after his club rejected a £90,000 bid from Scunthorpe.
Reeves has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in the lower English leagues throughout his career and is set to leave the Second Division outfit after failing to agree an extension to his Saltergate contract. Chesterfield rejected Scunthorpe's initial bid of £90,000 but the Spirerites know that unless they sell now, they will lose the player for nothing in the summer.
Dundee boss Jocky Scott has long been on the look-out for a striker and could see the free-scoring Reeves as the man to answer his club's goalscoring void. However, the Dark Blues will also face competition from Hearts, Millwall and Scunthorpe, who are all known admirers of the striker.
The 32 year old has scored 11 goals this season in a team that has struggled at the foot of the table, and has previously played for Carlisle United and Preston North End.
We await developments.
Former Rangers and Aberdeen player David Robertson is considering a move to Dens Park on-loan from Leeds United. But he won't be allowed to play against Ayr United tomorrow.
Once again the JMB website brings you transfer news first as Jocky was quoted in the press this week saying Robertson was definetly not coming.
Nicky Banger, sent off in the midweek against Kilmarnock, can play against Ayr as his ban for a red-card isn't considered in the Scottish Cup.
The player is expecting a further ban when the SPL get full details for the offence, and manager Jocky Scott has had to warn the player that Scottish referee's play the game by the book, whereas down south they tend to be a little more open-minded about certain incidents with a ticking off seemingly a better punishment than iffy yellow cards.
Jocky Scott was in no mood to speak about the sending off of Nicky Banger last night - and threatened to boycott the press conference if asked.
He was clearly an angry man, and entered the media room, as always, prepared to speak about anything other than his players dismissal.
Banger had been booked earlier for deliberate hand-ball, then, to the fury of the home bench, controversial referee Jim Fleming booked the player again, this time for diving inside the box, and both sets of fans gave him some stick at the end of the game.
Scott said: "If I say anything about the sending-off I will get into bother. If anyone asks me about it, then I'm off."
There's no truth in the rumour Killie boss Bobby Williamson shouted in that very question kidding on he was one of he press men.
Dundee remain five points ahead of Kilmarnock following last night's goalless draw.
Dundee have skipper Barry Smith and striker Eddie Annand battling for fitness ahead of the Scottish Cup third round tie with Ayr at Dens on Saturday.
The pair picked up injuries in the draw with Kilmarnock and assistant boss Jimmy Bone said: "It is too early to know if they will make it."
Striker Nicky Banger is eligible despite his controversial dismissal for two yellow cards against Killie.
James Grady confirmned that he was feeling fine and had returned to training yesterday, although the part of his face where he was struck in saturday's defeat at Hearts was still a bit tender. James said he was desperate to get back playing, but the rules forbid him taking part in the Ayr cup tie this Saturday.

Jocky Scott could start 20-year-old Graeme Bayne against Kilmarnock at Dens Park tonight for his first game for the club.
He came off the bench in the defeat by Hearts at the weekend, but he reckons that was a good enough performance to get a starting berth tonight.
Dundee will have Eddie Annand back after 'flu as James Grady has been told he can't train for at least a week following his concussion when Hearts defender Gary Locke caught him with his elbow, but Fifer Bayne wants to play from the start and reckons his four years training every day alongside Tommy Coyne and Willie Falconer will hold him in good stead tonight.
Also set for a start is Nicky Banger who also came on as a sub at the weekend. Manager Scott reckons his fitness is improving every day and could be a vital part of his side as they stay clear of relegation as that's the only priority for the manager this season.
Kilmarnock will be without several players as they face Dundee at Dens Park tonight.
Victory for Jocky Scott's side and a win for Aberdeen who play Motherwell at Pittodrie would see Bobby Williamson's side go to the bottom of the table with all the problems that brings in terms of team spirit and confidence.
He will be without Jim Lauchlan who was sent of against Celtic on Sunday, and has a number of other players suffering various forms of injuries and knocks, but won't reveal who they are. Meanwhile, Dunfermline insist Killie have not made any attempt to sign on-loan striker Andy Smith who can stay at Rugby Park until February 1.
It had been thought the player would have signed for the club today, but that now looks unlikely. Gordon Marshall will once again be on the bench as Colin Meldrum continues in goal.
James Grady will miss tonights game against Killie and the Scottish Cup tie against Ayr United following a controversial injury at Tynecastle on Saturday.
Kilmarnock also have their defender Jim Lauchlan missing after being sent off in controversial circumstances against Celtic on Sunday night.
Grady was taken off after a clash with Hearts defender Gary Locke in the first half of the defeat at Tynecastle.
Dundee were upset when referee George Simpson took no action against Locke who claimed it was an accident with no malice intended.
Dundee now have to live with the effect of that incident and manager Jocky Scott will now call on Eddie Annand or Graeme Bayne to step in and fill the shoes of Grady who could be missing for a few weeks at least.
Kilmarnock deserved to beat Celtic on Sunday claimed Dundee boss Jocky Scott this morning.
The Dens Park boss took advantage of seeing his opponents in action at the weekend as they were playing live for the television cameras.
And Scott, who has 'flu victim Eddie Annand back for tonight said: "To be honest I thought Killie deserved a victory over Celtic. They worked really hard and were positive throughout with their wide players always ready to push up at all times.
"Cocard especially impressed me. His movement up front was excellent and I am sure he will be a real handful for us to deal with tomorrow night.
"Our defence has shown, however, that it can cope with the best players in this league, so as long as we give it our full concentration, I don't see there being a problem."
Nicky Banger will start the match after coming on as a sub against Hearts.
Jocky Scott has told trialist Ricardo Bonetto he won't be getting offered a contract just at the moment, but one could be considered in the future.
Jocky has had a long standing interest in bringing the former Rangers and Aberdeen idol back to the north but will face competition from Hibs boss Alex McLeish.
Robertson will be out of contract in the summer and available on a free transfer, but is currently seeking a three month loan deal to prove his fitness to any potential bidders following a nightmare injury spell. The player has been dogged by knee ligament trouble and groin injuries for the past two seasons after making 26 appearances in his first season at Elland Road. He was due to make a loan switch to Hibs straight after the New Year period but was struck down by 'flu.
With the 31 year old desperate to see first team football, talks with both Hibs and Dundee are set to begin this week.
"I will go maybe go out on loan, although it depends on what happens at the clubs. I've been back training for three or four weeks now and I just want to get back playing and showing my worth," he admitted.
"I know I have no future at Leeds and a loan deal until the end of the season will suit me for starters."
Robertson is prepared to take a significant wage cut to start playing first-team football again. He has been stuck in the Leeds reserves while David O'Leary's side challenge at the top of the Premiership.
Johnston has been unable to force his way into McAlpine boss Steve Bruce's first team plans at the promotion chasing First Division outfit and has been linked with a return to Scotland.
Livingstone boss Ray Stewart is also showing an interest in the former Arab.
He is, however, unsure at this stage whether one or both will start the match.
Banger is steadily recovering from the knee problem which forced him to miss both games the club played in Cyprus, while match practice is the only thing McSkimming is short of following the abdominal operation he underwent in mid-December.
"We are just taking it day by day with Nicky for fear that he suffers a reaction to training," said Jocky.
"It’s a case of so far so good at the moment but, while I would envisage him being stripped at Tynecastle, I’m not sure whether he’ll make the starting line-up.
If Banger does feature it is more likely to be on the flank than up front.
"In his appearances for us so far Nicky has done his best work in wide areas," said Scott. "He can play as a striker but I see him more as a winger- and that’s something we’ve been lacking since Iain Anderson left."
Hearts boss Jim Jefferies may be forced to enter the loan market before tomorrow’s clash, after being crippled by an injury crisis.
The Tynecastle boss has major worries over his two main strikers, Gary McSwegan and Stephane Adam, for the SPL re-start.
McSwegan picked up a groin injury in Tuesday’s bounce game with Morton at Cappielow, and is a serious doubt.
Frenchman Adam is also causing Jefferies headaches, after he pulled up with a hamstring strain.
And, last night, the Jambo's manager admitted he may have to look for a short-term striker, should his main two frontmen fail to make it.
He said, "McSwegan is doubtful and Adam is probably causing most concern. If they were both to miss out it would cause us serious headaches.
"We would need to adapt. It really depends on what the situation is.
"We have looked at a couple of possibilities. If the players clear up then that is fine."
However there's now a worry over Thomas Flogel and captain Colin Cameron, who also picked up a knock in the friendly against the Greenock side.
Flogel has received from a foot injury he was suffering from, but now has a worry over a knock at the base of his spine.
Jefferies said last night: "It's far from ideal. Sod's law, really. We came back all right, had a few sessions and that game, and now look at us with all these problems. It's a concern at the moment and something we could do without with the Dundee game coming up."
Jamaican Fitzroy Simpson trained and could be available.
Manager Jocky Scott today revealed crocked midfielder Shaun McSkimming is set to face Hearts on Saturday but Nicky Banger is absent.
The former Kilmarnock and Motherwell player has recently undergone surgery on a damaged hernia just over four weeks ago, but proved on the team's visit to Cyprus that he has, apparently, fully recovered from his operation. And that's a massive bonus to the manger who will be without new signing Nicky Banger who has a knee problem and hasn't trained this week.
Referring to McSkimming, Scott said: "Shaun is doing all the training and looking strong. If we can get him a practice game in training and he comes through that all right, then I will consider him for start against Hearts."
Willie Miller won't be considered to play against Hearts on Saturday at Tynecastle as he's just not ready according to the physio.
And with Nicky Banger struggling and several players just recovering from a bout of the 'flu, that's another concern for the coaching staff.
But on a more positive note, Robbie Raeside is getting fitter having played in the two friendly games in Cyprus. And Craig Ireland has recovered from his spell of 'flu that crocked him during the winter training camp.
Italian midfielder Ricardo Bonetto, who can also play wide on the left, joined up with the players for training yesterday.
And the player hopes to impress manager Scott this week who will give him another opportunity in a closed-door match to see if he can hack the Premier League.
Italian midfielder Ricardo Bonetto has been given another week to prove he's worth a contract by Jocky Scott.
He played two games as a trialist for Dundee in Cyprus last week, but Scott then didn't feel he was worth the offer despite a reasonable performance.
He's 20-years-old, and has played for Juventus. Scott decided on having another look at the player, however, saying today: "The lad did a lot better when we brought him on for the last 20 minutes of the second match against the Yugoslav side on Friday and we decided he is worth another look.
"He showed in that performance that he has something to offer and he will be staying with us for another week for us to have a closer look."
Meanwhile, Nicky Banger is certain to miss the match against Hearts at Tynecastle this weekend as he has still not fully recovered from his leg injury.
Dundee have reduced ticket prices for the rearranged Premier League fixtures against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
A spokesman said: "Both postponements were unavoidable because of the severe weather but that doesn't really offer much comfort to the supporters who were looking forward to the games."
Dundee play Kilmarnock next Wednesday and Aberdeen on Feb 23. Prices are set at £10 for adults and £5 for children.
The question was: Should Dundee make a move to sign Jim Hamilton &/or Ricky Gillies from Aberdeen.
Dundee have resurrected their interest in Leeds' out of favour former Scotland international full back David Robertson.
Dundee boss Jocky Scott is being linked with a bid for Huddersfield Town's out of favour midfielder Grant Johnston.
Jocky Scott will include Nicky Banger and Shaun McSkimming in the 16 to face Hearts tomorrow.
"And the same thing applies to Shaun although in fairness, owing to the fact the Aberdeen fixture was postponed, he has missed only one competitive game and is looking strong in training."

Steven Boyack believes that Dundee's mid-winter training camp in Ayunapa, Cyprus, has given the club chance to focus on the second half of the SPL campaign.
Any thoughts Boyack had of finding the popular resort populated by a string of holiday seeking Brits were quickly abandoned when he arrived on the island to find a ghost town awaiting him. But Boyack believes that with very little to distract Jocky Scott's side (Ayunapa closes down during the winter months), the team has been able to put all their efforts into focussing on the second half of the Premier Division season.
Boyack reckons that lack of local atmosphere will aid the Dark Blues when they resume their SPL programme next weekend with a clash against Hearts.
He said: "The place is a ghost town in the winter - the only other people here are the Kuwait national team.
"Being somewhere quiet with no distractions has helped us focus completely on football and I think that will pay off when the season re-starts."
It looks as though the Italian duo, who have been on trail with Dundee will not be signing full time contracts with the club.
Central defender Gianfranco Circati and midfielder Ricardo Bonetto both figured in Dundee's 2-2 draw with Yugoslav side Cukaricki whilst on tour in Cyprus yesterday but have not done enough to be taken on by boss Jocky Scott.
Circati played the full 90 minutes in both tour games with Bonetto playing the first hour of the game against Anorthosis, and coming on for the final 20 minutes of yesterdays game against SK Cukaricki.
Scott said: "The players have done reasonably well while we have been out here but as things stand I don't think we will be taking matters any further."
Another late goal from striker Eddie Annand earned Dundee a 2-2 draw in their clash with Yugoslavian Premier League outfit FK Cukaricki in Cyprus on Friday afternoon.
Annand latched onto a pass from Italian trialist Ricardo Bonetto five minutes from time and fired home the equaliser. He then scraped the outside of a post as the Taysiders attempted to clinch a win.
The 26-year-old scored the winner against Famagusta on Tuesday and his goal today helped Dundee finish their two-match winter break unbeaten.
Jocky Scott's side had been two goals down at the break despite being in control for much of the contest.
But Hugh Robertson's deflected strike brought them back into the game before Annand's late show.
With all the transfer speculation surrounding Dundee at the moment one man who won’t be signing is Annan Athletic striker Colin McMenimin.
"We had the lad at Dens for a week’s trial around two months ago and had him watched again at the weekend but our feeling is he is no better than what we already have at the club," said the Dundee boss.
Craig Ireland became the latest payer top go down with the 'flu in Cyprus, joining 'keeper Rab Douglas in their sick beds.
Also missing from today's game against Yugoslavian outfit SK Cukaricki is Nicky Banger who has a muscle problem with the back of his knee. With the start of the season just eight days away, manager Jocky Scott admitted he was concerned the player won't be available for the match against Hearts at Dens Park next Saturday.
But there's better news for Willie Miller who should play on Friday as he's trained all week on his own and has shown no signs of his recurring knock, and Sean McSkimming is back in full training following his operation on his hernia.
Steven Tweed, Gavin Rae and Partitio Billio who all missed the match against Famagusta, should also play on Friday afternoon.
Aberdeens visit to Dens, postponed in December, has been rescheduled for February 23rd.
The JMB Dark Blues website has linked up with Media company Chrysalis and is to become a part of a new Pan European Sports network Rivals.com.
Exciting changes should begin to happen within the next couple of months, and some of the things that are in the pipeline include:
Dundee came from behind to beat Cypriot side Famagusta 2-1 in the first of the two games of their winter tour.
The Dens Park outfit trailed at the interval but Frank van Eijs levelled before Eddie Annand headed the winner six minutes from time.
Jamie Langfield, deputising for the flu-ridden Rob Douglas in goal, made three outstanding saves for the Dark Blues.
Italian duo Gianfranco Circati and Ricardo Bonetto also played and should figure in the final game against FK Cukaricki on Friday.
Gianfranco Circati and Ricardo Bonetto are the two Italians manager Jocky
Scott will see in action on Wednesday against Anorthosis.
Dundee play their first game in Cyprus and Jocky will get the
chance to have a closer look at the pair, one a defender, the other an
attacking left-sided winger. Circati is the defender who's 28 and played with
Salernitana, and Bonetto has played with Juventus and Belgian side Beceren.
But each player will come on as subs as Scott wants his regular team to get a
run against a very good Famagusta side who have a great deal of experience
playing in Europe.
Scott said of the pair: "Both look good in training but
I'll need to see them playing before I can form an opinion. They'll play part
of tonight's match and part of Friday's game against SK Cukaricki."
Meanwhile, keeper Robert Douglas was confined to be with Flu after waking up
and finding his throat much worse.
Heart of Midlothian contacted Dundee FC today to say that the match between the two clubs at Tynecastle on the 22nd of January will be pay at the gate - Prices are £16 Adult and £8 Concession.
Dates and kick-off times for the Tennents Scottish Cup ties involving DUNDEE and DUNDEE UNITED are expected to be announced later today.
In August 1998, when both sides were drawn at home in the second round of League Cup, the Dark Blues’ meeting with Alloa started at 12 noon and United’s clash with Stirling Albion at 4 pm.
And granted a similar four-hour gap between kick-offs, the police would not oppose both of the upcoming games going ahead on Saturday, January 29.
However, under a long standing "turn about" agreement between the clubs Dundee have first call on this occasion and they are looking for a standard 3pm start to their match against Ayr United-which is likely to mean United playing Airdrie the following afternoon.
He's just one of three ex-Dundee players now at Somerset park alongside Neil Duffy and Russell Kelly, and he said on hearing the third round draw: "I couldn't be happier with the draw myself. And I know Neil and Russell are equally as happy to be returning to Dens Park. Russell is out of the side just now but said the draw has made him all the more determined to get back playing for our first team again. It's been an up and down season so far for us because a lot of new players have arrived, but prior to losing to Raith on Saturday, we were on an unbeaten run of six games and we are all looking forward to the cup tie."
Dundee are keeping quiet on reports they are about to sign a mystery new striker ahead of the return from the winter break.
As GRADY, ANNAND & COYNE are out of contract in the summer, with the current situation at the club, no player is guaranteed either a place or a new deal so far, reports have suggested Jocky Scott has already targeted his man, but that remains unconfirmed at the moment.
But it would of course make sense and getting goals has been a problem this season despite some excellent work by Willie Falconer in particular. Dundee currently sit third bottom of the table having hit just 21 goals in 17 matches. Not a great strike record and maybe one that shows where certain faults lie.
BOY WONDER AGAIN FAILS TO MAKE SQUAD.
Former Dundee star and general Scouse Git Dave Rogers, now with cup opponents Ayr United, said he's desperate to put one over on his old side.

The out of favour right back has played just three times for the Bantams this season (all in the Worthington Cup) and reportedly wants a move back to Scotland.
Dundee boss Jocky Scott is a known admirer of the full back and may follow up his interest with a bid for the player, who the Bantams would only require a nominal fee for.
Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and Motherwell are also showing an interest.
Paul Jewell captured the signature of the former Scottish Full & U21 International for Bradford in July 1998 after he was allowed to leave Rangers under the Bosman ruling.
Stephen started his career with Aberdeen in 1990 and went on to make 147 Scottish League appearances for the Dons in addition to UEFA games.
As the Arabs were also drawn at home it is unlikely that both clubs will be allowed to play on the same day - meaning one of the tiers will have to switch to the sunday.
My, My the email has been busy today - 2 more emails from people associated with the Sticklebrick both naming the Alleged attacker as David Hannah.
Nice to know that a Dundee FC site is so popular with Arabs.
He advised that former Italian International Nicola Berti is one of the Italians that Dundee will have on trial in Cyprus.
The Italian who will be 33 in April spent 10 years with Inter Milan and also played for Fiorentina and Parma in Serie A. He also played for Spurs and most recently Deportivo Alaves in Spain, who released him in November. He is currently available under Bosman.
Personally I find this hard to believe, however this does make you wonder about the Italian Consortium who was rumoured to buy into the club prior to christmas.
The club have enlisted a former Italian International to tout for players in Italy - although they have so far refused to name him - one things for sure the Italian connection continues to grow at Dens, and once the Daily R***** gets wind of this they are sure to give it front page coverage of "Dundee in Mafia Link".
Willie Miller came through a bounce game yesterday and should play some part in the friendlies in Cyprus.
Since putting a name to the alleged assailant of "The Drink Driver", I have been approached and advised that De Vos was not the "alleged assailant" but was indeed another player, however refusing to give a name.
If this was the case and I have named the "Alleged" attacker wrongly I can only apologise. However I would like to add that my source was reliable and can be traced back to the highest level at the Sticklebrick.
My Information came from someone told by Jack Martin (Chairman of the Arab's Business Club), close friend of "WEE JUM" who stated at a party recently that he was told by McLean that DeVos was involved.
In conclusion if you are were not the player involved Jason then I am sure that you would like to know that your chairman is the one who allegedly put your name to the assault.
Dundee have been allocated approximately 1000 tickets for the game at Tynecastle on the 22nd and they will go in sale from Dundee Direct on Thursday 13th January.
Jocky Scott has taken his first look at two of the out-of-contract Italian players who could join the Dee's after the winter break.
The centre-half and midfielder have taken part in a practice match and will go on next week's two-game Cyprus trip.
Scott said: "They looked decent players but the more competitive nature of our games in Cyprus will give us a chance to judge them properly."
The following is a story that appeared in the papers yesterday.
A weekend report has claimed Dundee United keeper Alan Combe was assaulted on the
players night out in Glasgow recently.
No-one at Tannadice was available for comment on the story the player was assaulted as he partied with his team-mates in the early hours of the morning.
The report concluded he was struck on the chin, and thought his jaw was
broken.
He was taken to Glasgow's Western hospital where nothing was revealed and
he was sent on his way.
As always when players hit the headlines, all their past misdemeanors are dredged up again and no doubt manager Paul Sturrock won't be pleased to be reminded of the player being found drunk in charge of a car and fined £750 last year, and has been the victim of an assault some years ago when he
was hit in the face with a bottle.
Now for the good bit - according to my sources the assailant was alledgedly none other than the Drink Drivers Can*d**n team mate J**** D* V**.
All at JMB On-line say nice one J****, only next time make sure that you break his f***ing jaw!
Flu hit the first team dressing room at Dens today when Rab Douglas called in sick.
He should however be fit for next weeks training camp in Cyprus.
Over Christmas and the New Year several Youth team members were ill, and the bug that has swept the country has also hjit the office staff at Dens.
Dundee's bid to sign Aberdeen striker Jim Hamilton appear to have foundered over the transfer fee.
It is understood the Dons want £400,000 for the player they signed from Hearts last season, and that is out of Dundee's reach at present.
Ebbe Skovdahl has made it clear he is not part of his plans at Pittodrie and it has alerted Jocky Scott.
Hearts are also said to be interested in taking him back but would also be reluctant to pay £400,000 for him.
Hamilton is also on good wages at Aberdeen, and Dundee are not prepared to break their own wage structure to accommodate him.
Dundee's players were given a double training session on their return from a short winter holiday yesterday.
But as they have a welcome break in Cyprus to look forward to, that's eased their pain as last season, their winter break was in Whitley Bay in the snow.
This time, however, the club have pushed the boat out and although it's just for five days, better five days in the sunshine than five days in the cold North of England.
James Grady welcomed the move, saying: "We ended up in Whitley Bay last season and every other team in the league apart from Dunfermline headed for the sunshine and we were just a little bit jealous.
"We even had to cancel a day's golfing because of the snow! But we went to the tenpin bowling instead and had a great laugh which was good for the team spirit.
"But we're delighted the directors have put their hands in their pockets to send us to Cyprus."
The team will play local side Anothoris Famagusta and Yugoslav outfit SK Cukancki.
Jocky Scott will increase the italian contingent during next weeks training camp in Cyprus.
After the success enjoyed by Italian Patrizio Billio, Jocky will have a look at 4 new Italians during the weeks break in the sun.
Jocky said " They are all available under the Bosman ruling and with the way that Billio has settled at dens, the Italian market is certainly one that is worth watching."
As well as training with the squad the trialists are also clear to play in the friendlies agains Anorthis Famagusta and Yugoslavian side SK Cukaricki.
A squad of 19 will fly out on Monday including current injured players Shaun McSkimming, Willie Miller (providing his wife tells him where she has hidden his passport), Robbie Raeside, and Lee Maddison.
McSkimming, Miller & Raeside should all be able to take part in the games, however Lee Maddison's presence is more to do with team spirit as he is still unable to train.
The question was "Should Steven Milne be recalled from Forfar to boost the Striking options?"
Dundee are one of four Premier Division sides being linked with a move for Bradford City's former Rangers defender Stephen Wright.
Dundee have been drawn at home to Ayr United in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup.
This rumour is probably very wide of the mark, however, yesterday I received an email from the person who runs the World Transfer Database which lists every transfer and loan deal in football.
He has 39 full caps for Italy playing in the 1994 World Cup Final.

This is an overwhelming majority in favour of a return for Steven Milne - will Jocky take any notice probably not.
The first team squad return to Dens Park tomorrow with manager Jocky Scott hoping none of his players has fallen to the virulent flu virus which has been causing such disruption to football clubs throughout the country.
The Dark Blues are due to fly to Cyprus at the end of the week and, with two friendlies lined up to be played during their stay, he is anxious he has a healthy squad to take away with him.
"As things stand we have got off lightly with Eddie Annand (who missed the St Johnstone game as a result) the only man affected," said Scott.
"That may well change after I see the lads tomorrow.
"No-one has been on to say they are struggling but then I would not necessarily expect that anyway.
"It can be a real problem to deal with because you don’t just have to worry about the guys affected but also the possibility they will pass it on to the rest of the squad.
"We are viewing this trip as a chance to work on some of the areas we need to improve on for the second half of the season and to do that properly you need everybody at 100 %."
