I was born in 1946, and have worked at the University of
Northumbria for almost thirty years. I am a member of the Institute of
Physics, and a Chartered Physicist. I live on a smallholding with my wife Andrea,
and two children, John and Megan. They were born on the 14th December 1993. We
have two horses, a dog, two guinea pigs, a variable number of cats, and a 1953 Ferguson
tractor. I enjoy gardening and kill a lot of helpless and inoffensive plants in the
process.
I hate pretentious arty web pages that take ages to download, so Im keeping this one
simple.
I'm a member of the Durham Bat Group and I set up and now
maintain their web page

I have my own website here and also at the University of
Northumbria
http://www.unn.ac.uk/~epje2
(this is more for students and describes some bat detector projects)
I'm hoping to run a bat detector project based on a PIC chip
this year.
