During the course of several projects I've used all of the current standard interfaces to the PC for dedicated real-time applications, and some applications under windows. I've also used dedicated I/O cards for digital and analog input and output. PC's are economical tools for data logging and system control applications. I've also developed applications on dedicated microsystems using the Motorola 6802, 6809, 68XXX, Z80 and other microprocessors. I'm currently loking at applications of the PIC chips.
