Scatter Materials

Ground latex texture available in a wide variety of colours. Ideal for ground-cover and textural applications. All turf and foliage are made from ground and graded latex rubber which is then coated with a waterproof and colourfast plasticed paint. Our scatter materials are available in fine and coarse grades.

Ballast

Various grades of ballast suitable for all model railway scales. Can also be used as chippings etc depending on your chosen scale. the ballast is made from granulated fruit stones and is coated in the same manner as the latex. It is therefore lightweight and colourfast. As it is made from a wood material, damage to wheel flanges is not a problem. Unlike granite, this product will retain its colour even when wetted with PVA and water.

Easy Water

This is a water soluble gel, which can be shaped with your finger, a spatula or a paintbrush. It is intended to be used as a surface treatment only, being applied to the surface of varnish, resin or clear styrene / perspex. Although white, on drying it will become crystal clear. This process may take several hours or even days, depending on how thickly it is applied. Waterfalls, fountains, dripping taps or even icicles can be reproduced by smearing the gel onto clear fishing line and allowing to dry.

Flexi-Bark

A water soluble rubberised plaster, containing a fine grit which gives a bark-like texture to your trees. This product will allow you to bend the branches without the material breaking off!

Landscaping Compound

A new compound which contains natural fibres mixed with a high mechanical strength plaster.

Forest in a Box

This product uses a natural plant material (Sea Moss) to create stunning trees easily and simply. The sea moss can be used either by itself or sprayed with hair spray and covered lightly with fine grade scatter material. There is sufficient material to produce approximately 24 trees. Literally a Forest in a Box!

Casting Plaster

A good quality casting plaster. This product makes an ideal substitute for the ex-LINKA range compound.
