Chris Turnbull, Filey B.C., has been selected as one of only 6 men to represent England in the 12 strong team competing in the World Blind Bowls Championships in Melbourne Australia in April 2009. Having been selected, after beating four other recent champions, Chris now becomes an inspiration to many other visually impaired bowlers but the worst part is that he also has to raise £1,000 to help fulfill his ambition. Any help would be greatly appreciated and Chris can be contacted at 1A Union Street, Filey, YO14 9DZ or on 01723 518448.
