Our Branch grew very quickly in the early days.  From our first meeting in a local pub on January 22nd 1954. our membership went forth in true pioneering fashion with very basic equipment, much of it home made, and by modern standards, most unsafe.

Branch expeditions to various parts of North Wales were the order of the day and much fun was had by all. 

As proper training was established, Merseyside Branch was to lead the way.

Many diving personalities, both in the sport and amongst the ranks of the professionals, owe their baptism into the world of diving to Merseyside Branch

We currently have two members working as divers with the British Antarctic Survey Team
