A private drive enters the property from a nearby road, it is screened by trees and bushes. |

The gardens surrounding the house have been carefully landscaped to include many rare and unusual plants. The large swimming pool and the small mill stream have been incorporated into the garden. The South facing Terrace enjoys panoramic views over the gardens and woodland beyond. Across the valley there is a railway line on which occasional trains can be seen and heard. |

The property is situated at the lower end of the valley of the small River Pit where it joins the River Verte. In total the grounds cover some 22 acres of meadow and woodland. A local farmer takes a hay crop off the main fields but we do not have animals grazing on the land. |
