The Irish Premier League Club was formed in Feb 2003 to enable travelling players from North & South of Ireland to take part in FISTF Team events. Applications are also welcome from foreign players who want team action on their travels.

IPL Return to Action 10th/11th May 2008

The Irish Premier League will be making its first tournament appearance in two years at the Belfast Grand Prix, when they will be represeted by John Moore, Gary Moore, Nicky Moore & Barry Spence. Their last outing was at the same event in 2006. They will be competing against their old club-mates, Eoin Adams & Kenny Beggs, who now play for Yorkshire.

History

In 2003, John Moore formed the Irish Premier League Club, a cross-border initiative to enable players from North & South of Ireland to team up for FISTF Tournaments. They travelled twice to Belgium, although their main hunting ground was in the UK, with their best achievement being runner-up in Flint 2003. They also reached the semi-finals of Preston 2004, Dumfries 2004 and Milton Keynes 2004. During the 2005/06 season, however, IPL struggled to get people to travel which led to the transfer of two of their main players, Kenny Beggs & Eoin Adams, to English club, Yorkshire Phoenix.

There was one League Campaign in 2004/05 when the club was at its peak, with 12 players.

It remains to be seen whether the club will continue. Meanwhile, use the menus on the left to see details of a more prosperous past.

Current players are: John Moore, Nicky Moore & Gary Moore.
