Week Commencing Sunday 11th June 2006

 

Sunday 11th June:

  • Today is our Young People’s Day, with the morning service conducted by Rev. Kenneth Crowe. The guest speaker is Mr. John Moxen, representing “God’s Handiwork” puppet ministry.
  • Following today’s service, you are invited to our Family Picnic, in the Manse grounds (if wet—in the Church Hall). Bring your own food (and preferably something to sit on), and enjoy the friendship.
  • 7.00 pmYoung People’s Evening Service, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Crowe. Note the earlier start time! Members of the Sunday School and “Saltshakers” Youth Fellowship will be participating.
  • The offerings at both services today are given for the ongoing work of Bushvale Sunday School, and your support in this way is much appreciated.
  • Our thanks today to all the young people of the Sunday School and “Saltshakers” who have helped with the services by leading , singing, reading, drama, lifting the offering, and in any other way. The Sunday School is also grateful to Catherine for playing the organ, and to Davey and Peggy Walker for their hard work all year. Sunday School is now closed for the summer—see you all again in September!

Monday 12th June:

  • The monthly Divine Healing Service organised by the Presbytery of Route will take place in Bushvale Choir Room at 11.00 am.
  • Helpers are needed to sort out and pack the aid boxes for Moldova. Come to the Church Hall from 7.00 pm.

 

Tuesday 13th June:

            Packing/Sorting of Moldova aid in the Church Hall again from 7.00 pm

 

Wednesday 14th June:

            Midweek Meeting will be held in the Manse at 8.00 pm.

 

Thursday 15th June:

            All ladies are invited to meet at the Car Park at 7.30 pm for a walk. (weather permitting)

 

Sunday 18th June:

  • (No Sunday School)
  • 11.00 am: Public Worship, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Crowe.
  • It would be helpful if everyone would spread the news about the times of services being earlier for the remaining Sundays in June, to avoid anyone turning up at the wrong time! Your assistance would be appreciated!

 

Saturday 24th June       : SUNDAY SCHOOL TRIP:

The Sunday School trip this year will be to the Ulster-American Heritage Park near Omagh on Saturday 24th June. Each child must have a parental permission slip, which they have been given by their teacher. These must be returned today or ASAP. It is also very important to know how many will be coming, as spaces on the bus are limited. Children, family and friends are, as ever, most welcome. First come, first served!

 

“VISION OF GOOD HOPE MOLDOVA

            In aid of the forthcoming trip to the House of Hope, it is planned to hold a coffee morning at the home of Derek & Mildred Poots (27 Boyland Road) on Friday 23rd June from 11.30 am.

 

TEA/COFFEE:

Julie is looking for people to help (on a rota basis) with serving tea/coffee before the services fortnightly from September. Please contact her (028 2766 5666) if you can help, pr sign the sheet on the table in the Vestibule.
