| ARMY OF DARKNESS
- UNIVERSAL |
 |
PICTURE:
Non anamorphic widescreen framed at
1.85:1, a fairly clean
transfer from the film master. (
You should get better from such a
major studio.) With good detail and
color .
SOUND:
Dolby
surround, ( Pro-logic and 2.0 stereo ) excellent right
from
the opening
score, with plenty of good effects throughout, especially
during the
battle scenes and the fantastic sound track from
Joseph Lo
Duca and Danny Elfman's "March of the dead."
SPECIAL
FEATURES:
Not a lot for hard-core Evil Dead fans to sink their teeth
into,
but enough for people who buy it as a stand alone
movie.
( Which is what universal marketed it as in the
U.S.A.)
Real fans should pickup the Anchor Bay version which has
loads more to offer.
NOTE:
This is the
shortest version of the movie available, cut by
15 minutes, from
Sam Raimi's Original version.
