| THE EVIL DEAD -
ELITE S.C.E |
 |
PICTURE.
Originally filmed on 16mm then blown up to 35mm for theatrical
release.
This new digitally remastered transfer is framed at (1.33 :1)
Picture is solid, rich in color, and clear throughout.
Quality is poor in a few early scenes, due to damage on the original master
print.
AUDIO.
This version contains a newly remixed 5.1 Dolby Digital sound track, created
from the original 2 channel master tapes.
This new mix makes good use of all 5 channels, to add atmosphere, and boost the
musical score, rather than specific sonic effects.
Dialogue is sharp and clear, as are all the gore sounds and so on.
The bass channel (or "boom" channel as it is called in the notes,)
adds excellent effect to the low hums of the music and the spirit
force roaring as it moves through the woods.SPECIAL
FEATURES:
Jackpot! this disc is packed with more than enough features
for any deadite. Two very entertaining commentaries, one from
the man himself Bruce Campbell, the other from director
Sam Raimi and Robert "I'm married to Xena" Tapert.
Plus photo galleries and behind the scenes footage, and a load
of other stuff, hell go buy it already.
