| THE EVIL DEAD UK
FULL UNCUT VERSION |
 |
PICTURE:
Widescreen, reformatted from the original 1.33:1 version
as seen in the Book Of The Dead edition, however the picture
quality is slightly better than its U.S. counterpart, due to it being
PAL format. The print varies in certain places, and causes dips in
quality and some pixilation on smoky and darkly lit shots. 7/10.
SOUND:
As with the
other 5.1 mixes this is very good, all effects are
well placed
with a nice bass rumble too.
I don't have
a DTS decoder but I assume that sounds just as
good.
SPECIAL
FEATURES:
The two commentaries as seen on previous ( U.S.)
versions,
are entertaining and fact filled are always worth a
listen.
A U.S. theatrical trailer,
always nice to see :) and a photo
gallery which is not impressive as it is basically a load
of
vidcap stills from the movie, and a couple of the
original
promo photos which are cropped. Very poor.
As mentioned above, the DTS
-ES track.
Enough stuff for the casual viewer and Evil Dead
virgins,
fans will no doubt go for the BOTD version.
(Collectors will have both :) |
