Shelly is unable to cope with the events going on and retires to her room. The evil force from within the woods strikes, turning her into a hideous deadite, and she goes on a ramage with a sacrificial dagger. Scotty cuts her wrist with his hunting knife and she bites off her own hand,which is still holding the dagger. Scotty uses it to stab her in the back, which seems to kill her, but she comes back, only to be killed in textbook ( Book of the dead ) fashion by Scott with a large axe.
