TRIVIA

Movie can The Evil Dead actually took four years to complete, from script
to screen. ( For varied reasons.)
Ted Raimi Director Sam Raimi's brother, Theodore "Ted" Raimi, appears as Scotty's
legs in one shot in the movie.
Cabin-Haunted? The cabin used in the film was supposed to be haunted in real life.
FIRE? According to Sam Raimi, the cabin was struck by lightning after
completion of filming, and it burnt to the ground.
Hal Hal Delrich, who played "Scotty," was really called Rich Demanicor.
He got his "acting" name by combining the names of his buddies,

Hal and Del.
Cellar=Fake There was no cellar in the cabin where "The Evil Dead" was filmed,
so they dug out a 6ft hole in the earth floor and put in half of a fake
stairway and topped it off with a trap door.
