In this version, in the end, Ash falls in the another time loop and goes back in time to the moment of his arrival to the middle ages. When it happens, he turns into the winged monster that he himself kills in the begining of the movie. So that he kills himself. As far as I know nobody else heard about this ending, but I am pretty sure that this is what I have seen.
