After the Napoleonic Wars the fear of conflict led to a period of relative peace between the Great powers, until the later half of the Nineteenth Century when over a period of less than 40 years all the Great Powers had suffered to some degree the ravages of war. The range is designed to reflect this time of mass armies, colourfull characters and the last wars using outdated Napoleonic tactics
