Arrived
10/01/78 as 'RRR860' for use as a fire trainer. It was burnt by mistake
whilst filming The South Bank Show on the life of Roald Dahl who was a
ex Hurricane pilot. The fire service were apparently pleased because
they did not like training on a high winged aircraft but the base commander
was not. It became an unsafe structure and was scrapped soon after, having
gone by 10/06/1987 |
