All you ever wanted to know - but were afraid to ask.....


I am a Civil Engineer, Technical Author and part-time Examiner in further education, I grew up in North London, coming south many years ago. As the computer revolution arrived in the 80s, first I had a ZX81 (still do), then a Spectrum, moving to PCs as they arrived. Talking of Sinclair products, I did actually own a C5 for a while. It was diabolical, but I wish I had not sold it given current values.

2CV Online was conceived in 1999, to reflect the values of the 2CV - simplicity, humour, usefullness. Also economy. Bearing in mind the cost of some corporate sites, 2CV Online was built entirely using freeware software - and the cost was - actually - nothing at all.

Now living in the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire in a small town, my interests are much as per my personal site - 2CVs, Computers, Aviation, Amateur Radio, Cats, Motor Racing and Music. Music - wise more of a Rock fan, although I like most music including Country, some Rap and Hip Hop. Like Shakira, Kelly Rowlands partly for their music (!). Cannot in any concievable way stand Simply Red at any time. Like Merilion, Bon Jovi, AC DC, Guns and Roses, Chillies, Manics, Rush, etc. etc. Very pleased that youngsters like Avril Lavigne and the not so young Oasis continue the tradition.

I think the Internet is a wonderful resource, badly damaged by over-commercialisation and the sleezy apects. I feel many websites are spoilt by over-complexity, frames and lack of real content. And Flash due to the loading time.

Never married (or divorced!). but do not like to be without a "significant other". My starsign is Cancer, my birthday 9th July if anyone is thinking of a present.....

Do have a younger incredibly rich brother who has a Ferrari 148TB and a Merc CLK AMG Coupe etc.
