TABALINK is an English / Romanian Twinning Association promoting the sharing of friendship, interests and cultures. Our aim is to promote a real, two-way, linking of equals.

During 2001

the Salcioara folk dance group from Babadag have been invited to the Eastbourne Festival in May; and to visit Tansley for performances and school / community visits
work is underway for the invitation of three or four social / care workers to visit for about two weeks in September. This will provide the opportunity for a two-way exchange of ideas and a comparison of the different systems operating in Romania and England
discussions to be furthered towards the more formal establishment of Twinning Links between Babadag and Tansley / Matlock
support to be provided by two 'gap year' students from Derbyshire to the local children's work in Babadag and to the teaching of English in local first schools
further requested and targetted supplies to be provided in September / October for use in the Children's Home, Hospitals and by members of the community
continued discussions with those in the Babadag business community to determine how best the expertise in the business interest group and the contacts they possess can be utilized
establishing of TABALINK as a Charity or a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee.
