TABALINK is an English / Romanian Twinning Association promoting the sharing of friendship, interests and cultures. Our aim is to promote a real, two-way, linking of equals.

Welcome to the TABALINK web page

TABALINK takes its name from the first letters of the two communities that became involved with each other in 1996. These were Tansley / Matlock in Derbyshire, England & Babadag in Tulcea, Romania. (for more details of the organization's history, click here)

Twinning visits, or more regular contact via Email or letter, provide excellent ways of breaking down potential barriers; and dispelling prejudiced ideas. Both Matlock and Babadag have 'on their doorstep' areas of great natural beauty, namely the Peak National Park and the unique Danube Delta. What else do we have in common? A sense of humour and love of life.
