All the courses below can be customised to meet the specific training needs of the organisation. In addition, if you can't find what you need from Lee or Richard's courses, we are more than happy to recommend other experienced trainers who, like us, work exclusively in the not-for-profit sector. Minute Taking Skills (Trainer: Lee Comer) This popular one day course covers the basics of minute-taking, and is suitable for beginners as well as those with experience who wish to sharpen their skills. It covers note taking skills, how to record the main points, as well as providing practical tips for ensuring your minutes are accurate, concise and easy to use. The course will improve participants' confidence, enabling them to minute formal and informal meetings effectively. "I can't get over the impact the course has had on so many participants. I've had a couple of people say it was "brilliant" and two said it was the best course they had ever been on. I met with the manager of one of the participant's yesterday, who told me his assistant had rung him at home in the evening to tell him how wonderful it had been." Laura Sanders, Development Worker Harrogate & Area CVS. "Thank you for delivering another minute taking training course to our community groups. The feedback was extremely positive, particularly on the way you delivered the course in an easy to understand format. The participants clearly got a lot out of the day"

Time Management (Trainer: Richard Peters) This is a practical one day course for those who want to get on top of their workload. The course will help participants to identify the effects of over working, monitor and prioritise key areas of responsibility and plan and schedule work. It will also deal with time stealers such as unproductive meetings, damaging interruptions and mountains of paperwork. The course will have most relevance for people who have some control over planning their own workload. The course provides participants with an understanding of concepts, theories and models of good practice. It helps participants to explore and apply the ideas to their own situation and provides tools to assess their present level of skills and knowledge in order to identify the need for further training and development.
