    The Garden Tomb of Jesus

Sometimes called "Gordon's Calvary" after the British officer who first saw the site from the top of Damascus Gate, the rocky outcrop and garden around it contain an ancient tomb that many Christians believe to be the sepulchre of Jesus. The hill does resemble a skull when viewed from several angles and other features (large cistern, wine press, location near city gate) make it a plausible alternative to the Holy Sepulchre which is inside the city walls of Jerusalem. The atmosphere and beauty of the gardens are very conducive to prayer. The Garden Tomb is administered by the Garden Tomb Association which is based in England. Here is a link to a very interesting web site that will tell you more. The Garden Tomb.
