How do you try to relax before big games:

The same way I do before not so big games.

Have you any superstitions, or pre-match rituals:

Yes, stay inside the changing rooms while other players go onto the pitch before the match to warm up.

I've seen some Irish League players at the Belfast Giants ice hockey games, have you been to any games and if so what did you think:

No, I haven't been.

Do you see the success of ice hockey as a threat to the future of the Irish League:

No.

You've spent your whole career at Linfield, and not trying to be disrespectful to anyone but do you ever regret not having had the chance to move to England or Scotland, the way so many 'lesser' players have?:

Yes I would have liked the chance to move to England or Scotland but it never came.

When the time comes for you to 'hang up your boots' do you think you'll be able to simply walk away or would you like to be given a coaching role at the club:

I think I'll walk away completely, but take my son Lee to watch Linfield.

Given the choice would you rather play in the defensive position you've made your own, or the left wing position you started out in:

I'd love to be able to play left wing but I don't think I could anymore.

What do you remember about that first game when you were pulled back into defence:

We were 2-0 down against Glentoran when Jason Allen had to go off. We made it to 3-2 up at half time but it finished 3-3.

You have won everything the local game has to offer, and on more than one occasion. Which, if any has given you the most pleasure:

I couldn't pick out one in particular.

Favourite holiday location:

Gran Canaria.

Favourite music:

Oasis.
