Scotland LinksThere are many Scottish-related WWW sites, and those of Edinburgh (official and unofficial) and Glasgow (official) are well worth visiting. The sites listed below give huge amounts of information on almost everything a visitor could ever want to know about Scotland.
Scotland: Gateway to Scotland , contains countless links to information on every aspect of Scotland, political, historical, cultural, etc., and pages can be "instantly translated" into French, German, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese, using Altavista's Automatic Translation Service. The site is maintained by Bruce M. Gittings of Edinburgh University's department of Geography.
One other excellent site is the work of Alan "Scottie" Scott,
and is a collection of over 5000 WWW URLs: http://users.colloquium.co.uk/~scott_awa/
Alan Scott also maintains another very interesting site, Scottish
Culture - Welcome from The Mining Co., which has e-mail enquiry and
chat room as well as many more useful links.
The final site is devoted to Fife content: http://members.tripod.com/~scotphoto/fifetour/ . It is one of the best of several Fife sites currently available.
