EVIDENCE THAT THE LORD IS NEAR

"Keep a careful count yourself; when you see that some of the signs predicted have already happened(1), then you will understand that the time has come when the Most High will judge the world He has created. When the world becomes the scene of earthquakes(2), insurrections, plots among the nations, unstable government, and panic among rulers(3), then you will recognize these as the events which the Most High has foretold since first the world began." (2 Esdras 9:1-4 NEB).
"But listen to me, you who are the Lord's servants, and take my words to heart. This is the word of the Lord…Calamities are here, close at hand, and will not delay…and the world will groan under the pangs* that grip it." (From 2 Esdras 16:35-39).
"With all these things the birth-pangs* (pangs of distress. NWT) of the new age begin." (See Matt 24:7,8 NEB).
"In the same way, when you see all these things, you may know that the end is near (Or: that He is near), at the very door. I tell you this: the present generation(4) will live to see it all." (Matt 24:33,34 NEB).
"In the same way, when you see all this happening, you may know that the kingdom of God is near." (Luke 21:31 NEB).
"When all this begins to happen, stand upright and hold your heads high, because your liberation is near." (Luke 21:28 NEB).

SIGNS PREDICTED THAT HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED: Some of the events that recently took place and that herald the coming of God's rule and are described below. They are events in fulfilment of Divine prophecies stated through the apostle John in the book of Revelation, and are just prior to the end of the present systems. They are the three last 'angers' of the seven 'angers' of God that were poured out upon mankind and described in Revelation 8:1 to 11:19. There is one 'anger' remaining, after which, God will begin His rule over mankind on earth and in the heavens. This is the event long-awaited by all true Christians.

: The details of the prophecy of "a great blazing mountain was hurled into the sea" by which "a third of the ships on it foundered" (Rev 8:8), with the photograph shown below of this "mountain" caused by the nuclear explosion at Bikini Atoll.

: The scripture of the "two horns like a lamb's…even making fire come down from heaven to earth before men's eyes" (Rev 13:11-13) with God's anger against the lamblike appearance on earth of such scientific endeavours in space and other projects worshipped by men, instead of worshipping God. The photograph below is evidence that the crew of the 'Challenger' rocket was allowed to die to show to the world God's disapproval of such worthless endeavours.

: The scripture, "As soon as the distress of those days has passed, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the sky, the celestial powers will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign that heralds the Son of Man" (Matt 24:29,30), with the photograph shown below of the smoke-filled sky during the Iraq/United Nations war which blocked out the sun, stars, and sky.

THE MEXICO EARTHQUAKE: The penultimate sixth 'anger' of God on earth was made evident by the earthquake in Mexico City against the worship of idols there. The prophecy says of this earthquake in the greatest populated city on earth: "a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake". (See Rev 11:13 NEB and the photograph below).

THE WORLD TRADE CENTER DISASTER: The supernatural 'Stone' (Christ's power) did expose certain enemy natures to actively strike at the two legs of the "image" (symbolized by the two towers of the World Trade Center) and it has all become chaff. For more details, click on: WORLD TRADE CENTER.

Bikini Atoll.
Bikini Atoll, one of the American Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean, was almost unknown until the Americans decided to use it for testing their nuclear weapons. They removed the entire population to another island and conducted their first test, shown here, on July 25th. As targets, they used some of their own obsolete warships, such as the old battleship Arkansas and some warships captured from enemy navies such as the German cruiser Prinz Eugen. None of the ships survived the bomb and Bikini continued to be used as a testing site for many years. Its original inhabitants still want to return some day. |
"And I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking as a dragon. And it exercises all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first wild beast, whose death-stroke got healed. And it performs great signs, so that it should even make fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind."
