The third series is set in the 18th century where Blackadder is butler to Prince Regent (Hugh Laurie). He takes up politics and manages to make Baldrick a Lord. This series is the only series in which he doesn't get himself killed.

Finally the fourth series is set in the trenches in the First World War. This series ends with Blackadder, Baldrick and George going over the top of the trenches and dying.

Blackadder Back and Forth. This Blackadder episode was written specially for the millennium dome. It has all the regular star actors and is packed with the familiar satirical wit and scatological humour. On millennium eve, Sir Edmund can't resist playing a money-making prank on his guests. He has built a pretend time machine and he wagers that for ten thousand pounds he can travel back through time and get any item from history that his guests wish to choose. There is only one problem… the time machine works.
