Timperley Methodist Church

Timperley has had a Methodist community for over 200 years and this church has been in use since 1937.

The church is used for community activities such as Brownies, Guides, Girls & Boys Brigade, mothers & toddlers groups etc.

They also have a Coffee Corner which is open 10am till 12pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

 


Timperley Roman Catholic Church

St John the Baptist RC Church, Timperley - built 1957. Unfortunately this church on Thorley Lane, is no longer in use. Its last service was on June 7th. 2009 when the then priest retired and was not replaced.


Christchurch Timperley

This neo Norman style church was started in 1848 and took about a year to build. The first service being in December 1849. It is made of red sandstone with a slate roof and internal walls lined with terracotta tiles.

Originally it had a spire, but because of its narrow design, it became unsafe and was replaced with a saddleback roof in 2005.

 


The Bretheren Meeting Place

Holy Cross Church

This fairly modern church replaces both St. Andrew's and St. Catherine's churches. It was opened on 6th May 2001 and was consecrated by the Bishop of Chester on 16th September 2001.

It is built is built on land next to the church hall and was designed architects Nick Rank and Mark Pierce.

It can be found on Park Road not far from the junction with Moss Lane.
