Are you under 25?
Do you sing or play traditionally based music?
This annual event is for young performers of all styles of traditional or contemporary folk, roots or world music, whether you play traditional material or write your own. Categories are under 18 and 18-24.
There is no one ‘winner’, but it’s a great day, a chance to get your music heard and loads of great prizes are awarded to the most appropriate acts. Prizes in 2009 included performance opportunities at Towersey,and Sidmouth Folk Festivals and folk clubs, including Redbourn, Waltham Abbey, Chesham, Letchworth, Norwich, Seaford and Lewes folk clubs.

send a cassette, CD or minidisc with up to 15 minutes of your music plus
a completed entry form to:

The final will take place
on Sunday April 11 2010 at Trestle Arts Base, Russet Drive, St
Albans. Performers short-listed by the judges, Andy Cutting, Jackie
Oates, Lynne Heraud, and Andy Stafford will be invited to take
