Whitsun Weekend - The Welsh National Motorcycle Show, Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells - Held annually, and well worth a day out. Includes trade stalls, arena events, live bands and bike jumble. Camping on site for the weekend. Day tickets available at the gate.

Aberystwyth - Victorian seaside resort, with pier, beaches, hillside railway and plenty of shops.

 

 

 

 

Devil's Bridge - Nr. Aberystwyth on A 4120.

Centre for alternative technology - On A487 N. of Machynlleth.

Tal y llyn railway, Tywyn

Elan valley - Nr. Rhayader. A chain of reservoirs supplying the Midlands, with visitors centre at the lowest dam.

 

 

 

 

Lake Vyrnwy - Reservoir supplying Liverpool, built in the 1890's. Cafe, visitors centre and nature reserve. Signposted off the A458 W. of Shrewsbury.

Bala Lake - Lakeside railway, Farm park. On A494

Barmouth - Typical seaside resort (Amusements, chip shops etc.)

Llyn Clwedog - On the B4518 out of Llanidloes. Nice quiet road and great scenery.
