Beddgelert - Picturesque village surrounded by mountains and forests on the A498 between Capel Curig and Porthmadog. Home to the legendary Gelerts grave. Sygun copper mine out of village towards Capel Curig.

 

 

 

 

Portmeirion - Mock Italianate village, made famous by the 60's TV series "The Prisoner" starring Patrick McGoohan. On the A 487 near Porthmadog.

 

 

 

Llandudno - Victorian seaside resort. Plenty of shops, pier and cable cars and trams run to the top of the Great Orme, offering wide views over Anglesey and the surrounding coastline.

 

Llanberis - Village at the base of the Llanberis Pass on the A 4086 near Caernarvon. Snowdon Mountain railway runs from here to the peak of Snowdon (3560 ft) the highest point in Wales. Also Llyn Padarn lakeside railway and Dinorwig underground power station.

 

 

The Spinnaker, Betws y coed - Formerly "Dil's Diner", this is a favourite meeting place and watering hole for many bikers in the N Wales area. Watch out for dozy Sunday drivers as you leave though, as the road leads down to a car park.

Ffestiniog railway to Porthmadog - One of the "Little Trains of Wales"

Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Llechwedd slate caverns on the A470.

Snowdon cafe, Capel Curig - 100 yds from the Esso station. Enjoy a saucepan sized mug of tea, while enjoying the view of Snowdon.
